2018+ JLR Smart Key Copy with Xhorse Key Tool Plus

 Xhorse has introduced a test feature on VVDI Key Tool Plus that allows locksmiths to copy 2018–2025 Jaguar Land Rover smart keys. Located under Test Function 7, this method uses direct MCU soldering to extract original key data and clone it onto a new key.

How It Works:

1.Database Update & Path:

Make sure your tablet is on the latest software version.

Navigate to IMMO Programming ➔ Test Function 7 ➔ Sub test function 4 for 2018 to 2025 Key Copy.

2.MCU Soldering:

Open the Read original key data option to access the wiring diagram.

Disassemble the original JLR key circuit board, solder the MCU cable leads according to the diagram, and plug it into Key Tool Plus.

3.Data Dump:

Read the original key MCU data and save the file on your device.

4.Writing to New Key:

Proceed to the write menu to transfer the saved data onto your target key—either a fresh OEM key or an Xhorse JLR aftermarket key.

5.Syncing:

Xhorse Key Tool Plus software also includes an option to modify the remote sync code if the remote frequency needs calibration.
